NACET is designed to support the creation of successful science and technology-based companies that provide high-wage jobs in northern Arizona. NACET has six strategic initiatives: to expand the transfer of technology transfer and commercialization processes with NAU and local community colleges, to support Native American entrepreneurs by helping to establish three entrepreneurial development programs (incubators) on northern Arizona reservations, to nurture nine to twelve active clients in manufacturing, biosciences, and software / communications / controls, to create 100 new jobs by January 2009 and 150 jobs by January 2012 through incubator clients , to generate $12 million in annual revenues by January 2009 and $25 million by January 2012 as a result of incubation, and to initiate a business plan competition for northern Arizona.
